Adecco is currently assisting a Global Fortune Food company in their search to fill an exciting R&D Technician role in Valhalla, NY  10595.   Apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below!


Contract Length: 12 months

Pay Rate: $18.00

Work shifts:  Monday-Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm



Lab technician will perform lab scale experimentation for members of the Commercialization Engineering team.  Lab scale tests will include operation of mixers, hot plates, and other small-scale equipment and the technician will be required to sort and analyze data. In some instances, the data and findings will be formally presented to the team.


  • B.S. or B.A. degree in a core science field such Microbiology, Biology, Cell Biology, Food Science,

  • Minimum of two years of paid work experience, of which at least 1 year must be in a business or university (paid-position) laboratory setting (references required).
    Regardless of the college degree major, candidates with highly relevant work experience totaling at least 4 years will also be considered.

  • Ability to work safely, effectively and harmoniously with others in a dynamic and changing R&D work environment.

  • Effective time management and ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic R&D community environment.

  • Strong customer service orientation and proven relational intelligence skills.

  • records and comply with all documentation and records management programs.

  • The individual must understand the nature and safe handling of various chemicals/ reagents and BSL-2 bacterial pathogens (e.g., Salmonella spp., Listeria spp.) and have an appreciation of the normal hazards associated with laboratory work.

  • Capable of learning and applying various new and modified techniques of analysis and applied research


Preferred Skills (nice to have):

Experienced in using a personal computer and proficient in the use of common

software to perform mathematical calculations and to create and edit graphs and

tables.  Proactive in bringing new ideas to the team or the organization innovating

to improve the work environment, the efficiency of lab work processes, and lab

safety practices.

Physical Requirements:

Able to work on one’s feet for approx. 6 hours per day, in a laboratory environment or a Pilot plant environment. This individual will have a small desk set-up and a PC so that data entry, report writing, and other tasks can be carried out in an office cubicle area
