SMT Quality Inspector

 

In this position you would be responsible for assisting in the operation of the manufacturing line while ensuring the highest quality and striving for efficiency and excellence in all endeavors while adhering to all safety requirements. This role requires that you be flexible with your schedule as over-time and extra work days may be needed with very little notice. 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

* Maintain Certification/Proficiency requirements applicable to the job title (IPC-A-610). 
* Ability to perform manual, intricate, routine and repetitive visual inspection of printed circuit assemblies and sub-assemblies.
* Knowledgeable in the operation of magnifying glass, microscope, and 2DX machine and its application as a tool for visual inspection of printed circuit assemblies and sub-assemblies.
* Knowledgeable in the operation of automated test equipment such as: Aoi and/or Axi machines.
* Knowledgeable in the verification and inspection of the test results and defects from the Aoi and/or Axi machines. 
* Working from blueprints, engineering change notices, or established operating procedures, determines acceptance or rejection of product. 
* Work direction may additionally be communicated verbally or through visual aids or ISO documents.
* Reading of blueprints, engineering change notices, and special instructions.
* Enters data into MES system. Attaches rejection tag if necessary, and places board in rack if failed, or onto assembly line if passed.
* Adhere to all safety and health rules and regulations associated with this position and as directed by supervisor.
* Ensure that assigned area is clean and organized. Follow 5S and safety guidelines as possible.
* Follow MES traceability requirements as applicable to assigned operations.
* Escalate manufacturing process discrepancies and quality/safety concerns to lead/supervisor. 
* Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
* Follow shift/attendance/timekeeping policies.
* Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years manufacturing experience in a relevant production position. 
* Experience in printed circuit board manufacturing. 
* Must be IPC-A-610 QC certified.
