Receptionist/Account Clerk

The position Adecco is looking to fill is for our client in Wayne County, NY and we need someone to perform mainly as a receptionist, but also someone that can assist the office with other clerical and customer service related tasks (this is where the account clerk duties come in)

The position is full-time and applicants may be asked to perform the following:

Answer telephone, screen and direct calls
Take and relay messages
Provide information to callers
Greet persons entering organization
Direct persons to correct destination
Deal with queries from the public and customers
Ensure knowledge of staff movements in and out of organization
Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
Provide general administrative and clerical support
Prepare correspondence and documents
Receive and sort mail and deliveries
Schedule appointments
Maintain appointment diary either manually or electronically
Accounting related tasks
Maintain office equipment
Control inventory relevant to reception area
and keep tidy and maintained reception area

Experience and Requires:

HS Diploma or GED, associate’s degree in business or related field is desired
Experience in answering a multi-line phone system; ability to work a switchboard
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
Knowledge of computers and relevant software application - Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
Knowledge of customer service principles and practices
Experience with general accounting, billing, and collection knowledge is helpful
Keyboard skills
Excellent communication skills
