Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:

•Interprets and documents the results of assessment tools for participants;
•Provides individual and group vocational counseling and case management activities related to supportive services and barriers to employment;
•Develops and updates participant employment plan in conjunction with participants;
•Provides career exploration and labor market information activities;
•Maintains referral network with other human service agencies in the community and makes the appropriate referrals to other programs, community organizations, etc.;
•Identifies potential available employment positions for participants from the active database;
•Provides counseling and intervention case management services to assist the participant in successfully completing their compliance period and to continue to be in compliance by meeting required work participation hours;
•Maintains regular contact with participants in accordance with program requirements including identifying barriers and assisting the participant in developing strategies to manage those issues;
•Facilitates supportive services for participants to overcome barriers such as child care, transportation, and work related expenses;
•Responsible for the day-to-day record keeping of participant work activities to ensure program compliance;
•Develops and maintains an inventory of available employment positions and works to place participants in unsubsidized employment;
•Conducts structured Job Search/Job Club activities; identifies, establishes, maintains, and continues to expand available employment positions including developing specialized positions based on participant needs;
•Performs regular visits to each employer to maintain and strengthen relationships;
•Consults with employers and participants, as needed, to resolve any job performance situations before they become problems;
•Maintains accurate, updated information in the participant database and participant case files; deliver career and training services

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

•Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university plus three years directly related work experience, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
•Workforce industry certifications a plus.
•Must successfully attain certification in “client” customer experience program within 90 days of hire and ResCare’s Career Consultant Certification within 6 months of hire.
