Recruiter - Transportation


Purpose: The Driver Recruiter facilitates corporate capacity growth for all divisions through Company Driver and Independent Contractor recruitment and retention.

Responsibilities include the following.
• Recruitment of Company Drivers, Independent Contractors, and fleets
• Initial contact for potential Company Drivers and Independent Contractors
• Proactive outreach to potential candidates
• Attendance/Participation at off-site industry gatherings, trade shows and career fairs
• Conduct follow-up calls with Company Drivers and Independent Contractors to maintain strong positive relationships
• Accurate and timely input of all candidate data within department Tenstreet database
• Usage of Tenstreet database to accurately reflect current status and worklist for all leads
• Attains individual and team recruiting goals
• Participates in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals
• Answers internal and external customer inquiries in a timely, courteous and professional manner
• Input of data in regards to weekly and monthly turnover
• Performs other administrative duties such as answering telephone lines, background checks in regards to Company Drivers, Independent Contractors and their drivers
• Occasional overnight travel

Education/Experience Skills:

College degree; or one to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills: Relies on written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees of the organization
• Communicates internally with Leadership, Safety and terminal staff and externally with potential
• Intermediate personal computer skills, including electronic mail, recruiting database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphic, etc.
• Preferred Transportation/Linehaul knowledge and terminology
• Preferred knowledge of Tenstreet, Microsoft Office or other Recruiting/Sales contact management platforms
