Responsibilities, Qualifications, & Details:                 


Job Duties:

  • Knowledge and understanding of Transportation operations and related activities
  • Develop effective outreach and networking relationships with local workforce development centers and organizations to assure we become the local employer of choice
  • Coordinate and arrange recruiting events
  • May need to assist with short notice recruiting efforts as well as targeted recruiting for specific positions
  • Conducts candidate sourcing which includes posting of job advertisements, conducting web-based recruiting activities, contracting with outside recruiters when necessary and other networking activities
  • Screen resumes, interview candidates (by phone and/or in person)
  • Serve as an expert for sourcing candidates in Transportation
  • Communicate in a professional manner with all levels in the organization
  • Build applicant sources by researching and contacting community services, colleges, employment agencies, recruiters and internet sites providing organization information, opportunities and maintaining rapport
  • Determine applicant qualifications by interviewing applicants, analyzing responses and comparing qualifications to job requirements
  • Evaluate applicants by discussing job requirements and applicant qualifications with managers and interview applicants on consistent set of qualifications
  • Develop and maintain an excellent relationship with internal and external clients to ensure achievement of staffing needs and goals



Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor degree in Business or Human Resources
  • One (1) or more years of recruiting experience using cost efficient and time efficient sourcing strategies
  • Computer proficiency with MS Office and internet
  • Must be able to manage high levels of activity and multiple demands
  • Must be highly organized with excellent time-management skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and work independently
  • Great communication skills
  • Able to travel including overnight (if needed)
  • Must be proactive and a self-starter



Pay Rate:  $20.00hr - $22.00hr DOE

Shift Start/End Time:  TBD

Length of Assignment:  6 months
