Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Regulatory Affairs Specialist job in Allendale, NJ.

Type:                      Fulltime (40 hours / week) contract

Pay:                        $30 - $32/ HR
Shift/Hours:          8A – 5P


The Regulatory Affairs Specialist  will support product notification and registration in Global regions.

Essential Functions:
• Assemble Product Information Files (PIFs) for Cosmetic Products being marketed in the European Union
• Prepare regulatory submissions to health authorities, assuring submissions meet relevant regulatory requirements.
• Review Artwork for for Global regions.
• Confirm product or formula acceptability in local markets.
• Research and monitor changes in Regulation, Standards that may impact the business.
• Fill in at Regulatory to Core Team Meetings where required.
• Review Government and Retailer Regulatory surveys.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Program Management, Operations and other cross-functional team members to meet required deadlines.
• Maintain matrices and tracking sheets for Regulatory transactions.
• Help build matrix/playbook of Regulatory requirements for Consumer Products in Global Markets.
• Perform administrative functions as required to support Global projects.


Experience/Education Required:
• Bachelor's Degree, preferably in biology, chemistry, engineering or material science disciplines and 5 years of
related experience. Regulatory Affairs experience preferred.
• Experience in Regulatory for Cosmetics in Europe preferred plus North America and Rest of World.
• Sound knowledge of Global Regulations for Cosmetic, OTC and Consumer Products required.
• Experience with Aerosols Regulation and labeling would be a plus.

Skills and Abilities Required:
• Good computer skills. Proficiency with Word, Excel, Access/databases e-mail and internet applications.
• Excellent verbal / written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to interface with internal and external contacts at all levels.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good record-keeping skills.
• Excellent organizational, prioritization and follow-up skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks / projects simultaneously.
• Self-starter with ability to think and act independently and to make sound decisions.
• Demonstrated ability to complete projects on time.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
