Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a current Reimbursement Analyst job in Trumbull. This is for a long-term temporary opportunity. As a Reimbursement Analyst you will be responsible for insurance authorizations and eligibility, maintaining patient and client billing records, collecting payments for services, processing insurance claims, following up and resolving all outstanding balances, maintaining the billing system, providing customer service support, and performing additional duties or assignments as directed by management. Responsibilities for this Reimbursement Analyst job include:

- Responsible to post, balance, and reconcile all payments, denials, and correspondence from all sources (ERA, lockbox, mail, credit cards, correspondence) into the billing system. Confirm and reconcile payments to each banking source daily.
- Follow up on denials and no response insurance claims
- Daily monitoring and resolution of "EP Denial" errors in an accurate, efficient, compliant manner to capture all outstanding accounts receivable
- Review and act on Eligibility outliers that do not meet the full XIFIN automated process
- Communicate finding of payer trends to Manager
- Assist Medical Billing Specialist with collection efforts.
- Assist Medical Billing Specialists with customer service. Responsible to answer all patient and client billing questions arising from all services rendered. Exceptional phone etiquette and people skills are crucial.
- Follows HIPAA guidelines in handling patient information
- Working knowledge of diagnosis, treatment codes, CPT codes, and explanation of benefits
- Additional duties or assignments as directed by management.

Qualifications:

- Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Healthcare revenue cycle operations experience
- Knowledge of medical billing, diagnosis codes, CPT codes, explanation of benefits, insurance claims, and client billing
- Complex understanding of insurance pay or requirements, guidelines, and appeals process
- Extensive knowledge of insurance co-pays, deductibles, co-insurances, and out of pocket expenses
- Excellent communications skills including patience with clients.
- Computer competencies to include solid word processing and spreadsheet skills.
- Reliability, good organization skills, and able to take direction.
- Consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced, changing, and high-tech environment.
