Repair Technician

Repair Station Technician: 

Location: Mountain View, CA

Pay: 24/hr

Our client is mapping the world! As a Repair Tech you have the chance to be part of it!  In this role you will repair, refurbish and redeploy custom hardware for the company's platforms. You will work with test engineers to facilitate root cause analysis, test incoming hardware from suppliers, and help ensure there’s always a stockpile of equipment ready to launch.  

Duties and Responsibilities

? Perform testing, repairing and refurbishing of equipment, sometimes includes disassembly/reassembly.
? Manage and coordinate shipping and receiving of return hardware (RMA).
? Update firmware and perform product burn-in on hardware, as needed.
? Contribute to the creation and documentation of assembly, repair and test procedures.
? Fabricate custom cables and harnesses, as needed.  
? Support field technicians, as needed.
? Other responsibilities as assigned. 

Minimum Qualifications
? Experience with electronic tools such as multi-meters, soldering (SMT and through-hole), hand tools, power tools, etc.
? Able to read and understand technical specifications, schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical assembly drawings.
? To probe and troubleshoot from engineer diagram.
? Knowledgeable in electronic repair, electro-mechanical assembly.
? Familiarity with Word, Excel, or Google Suite equivalent.
? Detailed oriented with great organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
? Able to comfortably lift and move 50 pounds.
? Good driving record.
? AA/AS in Electronics/Engineering or equivalent experience.
? 2+ years experience working in manufacturing support or R&D laboratory setting. 
? BS EE/ME with at least 1 year experience  or equivalent experience.  ? Experience with Linux.
? Some programming experience (c/c++, arduino, raspberry pi). 
? Is ok with repetitive tasks. 
? Troubleshoot independently with a  naturally inquisitive nature.  
? Ability to multitask
