Project Overview: Data Infrastructure & Analysis (DIA) is home to a number of products that form the backbone of our clients Ads. These products ensure that ads get shown and is paid for. For example, these products store all ads, campaign, and advertiser information, track all clicks to allow analysts and leadership to generate insights and make business decisions, and handle all payment transactions that flow through the system. 

As part of a new initiative to more closely tie product usability with users, DIA is rolling out an effort to conduct usability testing for all DIA products. This project requires running laboratory usability tests in controlled settings, transcription of the data, and analysis to score results. 


Overall Responsibilities: Initial responsibilities will include assisting with accurate transcription and video coding of study data. Candidate may also assist with study administration, such as session scheduling, gratuity, and study recruitment. Role may expand to supervised running of experiment protocols, data analysis, or creating study protocols, depending on candidate abilities.

Required Skills: 
Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) in any of the following fields: Human-computer interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering 
1-4 years of overall experience in User Research Experience

Skills or processes candidates must have to be considered for role: 
Must be able to touch type at 60+ WPM 
Willingness and ability to learn basic programming and database skills 
Knowledge of usability testing methods (contextual inquiries, thinkalouds, diary studies, etc.) 
Ability to clearly communicate through writing (example: writing professional reports of usability test results) 
Organizational skills (example: tracking recruitment, gratuities, and coordination of participant schedules) 
Specific Tools or Applications experience (ex. Google Apps, Saleforce CRM, etc): Excel or Google Spreadsheets, Word or Google Docs, PowerPoint or Google Slides 

Nice to Have Skills: 
Experience with computer programming (C++, Python, Java, HTML, CSS, etc.) or database products (SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) 
Experience with usability testing 
Statistics (SPSS, R, Jmp)
