Research Assistant IV

Adecco is currently assisting a local client, the World’s Largest Search Engine, in their search to find a Research Assistant IV. This is part of an exciting fast-growing project within the Search Engine. This is a temporary assignment slated for 12 months and will sit in Mountain View, CA.

**This role must sit onsite and will not be open to remote candidates.

Top Responsibilities:

  • Conduct research studies as needed. These studies could be lab studies, remote online unmoderated testing, RITE methodology, interviews and field research.
  • Partner closely with UX Researchers to execute and present research that will drive product changes and ensure product excellence.
  • Run usability testing sessions, taking notes, and providing detailed transcripts for the team
  • Create highlight videos/screenshots and assist with data analysis and report documentation.
  • Set up and operate user research lab equipment
  • Participate in product discussions, design reviews, and research planning.
  • Provide suggestions to improve current best practices
  • Ensure effective communication of research findings.
  • Travel could be expected (within the country)

Requirements:

  • Qualifications BA/BS or Graduate Degree in: in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Psychology, Information Science, Anthropology or other relevant field Open to new grads with internship experience or master’s program
  • Understands basic (user experience) research methods
  • Skilled at conducting in­-person interviews Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Comfortable with and skilled at analyzing large qualitative datasets (e.g., interview videos, transcripts, open­-ended survey responses)
  • Understands basic statistical concepts
