Detailed Position Responsibilities: We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team and conduct research in the area of minimally invasive interventions. The individual’s responsibilities include: Design and implement working prototypes in hardware and software Conduct experiments in phantoms with validation Assist and support pre-clinical experiments Work hands on in mechanical workshop Work independently on all aspects of project and produce innovative results Detailed Position Requirements: Degree/Experience/Skills needed BS, MS or PhD student in Mechanical, Biomedical, Electrical Eng., or Computer Science Excellent communication skills Basic knowledge of mechatronics Experience designing and carrying out experiments Strong programming skills (C++, C#) -and/or- strong mechanical design skills (Solidworks, ProE) Prototyping skills: mill/late, 3D printing Clinical experience preferred but not required
