Researcher I

Adecco is currently assisting a local client, the World’s Largest Search Engine, in their search to find a UX Researcher I. This is part of an exciting fast-growing project within the Search Engine. This is a temporary assignment slated for 6 months with the possibility of extending longer and will sit in Mountain View, CA.

*This role must sit onsite and will not be open to remote candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

· Independently conduct qualitative user research, primarily in-lab (in-person) usability sessions.

· Administer surveys.

· Analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data.

· Draft findings, recommendations, and reports based on user research.

· Assist other user researchers with various user research preparation activities.

 

Mandatory Requirements:

· M.A./M.S. in Human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, or other field emphasizing human behavior

· At least 2 years’ experience in conducting user research in a product environment, including in-person lab-based usability research

· Experience or background conducting research on consumer and/or mobile products is preferred

· Strong oral and written communication skills

· Detail oriented and can work independently and prioritize time between multiple projects, and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects

· Technical aptitude, familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools preferred

· Familiarity with Android smartphones & tablets preferred

Desired Qualification:

Preferred Qualification:

  • Fluency in a programming language commonly used for data manipulation and computational statistics (such as Python, R, MATLAB, C++, Java, or Go), and in SQL.
