Researcher II

Adecco is currently assisting a local client, the World’s Largest Search Engine, in their search to find a UX Researcher II. This is part of an exciting fast-growing project within the Search Engine. This is a temporary assignment slated for 6 months with the possibility of extending longer and will sit in Seattle, WA

*This role must sit onsite and will not be open to remote candidates.

Top Responsibilities:

· Analyze and interpret both qualitative and quantitative data Administer questionnaires, surveys, and interviews.

· Work closely with research, design and product management to understand needs for research and develop detailed research plans

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support UX Research in close collaboration with other UX, Product and Engineering roles.
  • The role will involve user research planning, customer-facing research execution, data evaluation and communication of key user insights and product opportunities.
  • You will be required to utilize a variety of UX methodologies across a number of complex and technical product areas.
  • Execute usability studies either in UX labs or remotely, analyze data and create reports Identify, evaluate and define end-user workflows for key user tasks, needs.
  • Assist with user testing preparation activities.
  • Design and conduct in-lab user research studies (usability and customer interviews).
  • Perform usability inspections (heuristic evaluations or cognitive walk throughs).
  • Create findings and recommendation reports from user studies.
  • Create highlight videos/screenshots

Requirements:

· M.A./M.S. in Human Factors, Cognitive Psychology, HCI/Computer Science, or other field emphasizing human behavior, research or related program.

· 2+ years of relevant work/academic experience, including experience integrating user research into design and product development life cycle.

· Proficiency with several user research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative) and strong analytic skills.

· Demonstration of a strong understanding and application of user experience design principles and best practices.

· Strong understanding of strengths and shortcomings of different research methods.

· Excellent interpersonal, communication and collaboration skills.

· Can work independently and prioritize time between multiple projects and be flexible by adapting to changing schedules and different projects.

· Ability to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work on schedule Eager to develop professionally

Minimum Qualification:

· B.A./B.S. or M.A/M.S. in any field of study 3-4 years of experience in an applied research setting Persuasive communication that is grounded in data Knowledge of in statistics and the design of experiments

· Detail-oriented and ability to work independently on a variety of tasks

 

Preferred Qualification:

· Technical aptitude and familiarity with the API and developer space Experience/interest in developing user journey workflows.

· Familiarity with basic graphic and video editing tools preferred.

· Detail-oriented and ability to work independently on a variety of tasks.

· Strong oral and written communication skills.

· Previous work creating screeners and research plans for external recruiters is a plus.

· Knowledge in interface design and ability to collaborate with different stakeholder teams such as Eng and PM Leadership, communication and organizational skills.
