Residential Service Technician


Our client, a leader in the garage door industry is seeking a talented service technican that will serve the Raleigh-Durham area!

A bit about the role:
Maintaining rapport with customers, ensure personal equipment is in good working order and document any service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs and records.

Job Responsibilities:
Service existing accounts by analyzing work orders, investigating complaints and resolving problems.
• Ordering and gathering components and parts
• Performing acceptance tests
• Suggesting improved methods and techniques to customers regarding door care and operation
• Recommending system improvements to customers
• Keeping service information confidential
• Participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications to stay current on your technological knowledge Skills/Experience Requirements
• 6 month -1 year related installation or construction experience
• Excellent telephone, written and verbal communication skills while interfacing with all levels of staff and customers.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Basic math skills required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and convert nominal measurements
• Willingness to learn product and processes.
• Must have valid DL

Educational Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED Physical/Work Environment Requirements
• Ability to work in outside weather conditions
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Repetitive standing, lifting, reaching, bending, climbing, & kneeling
• Working on ladders at varying heights
