Restaurant Cook

Adecco is currently assisting a local client in their search to fill a Restaurant Cook position in Gilbertsville, KY.  This is a seasonal opportunity. As a cook you will be responsible for preparing items to order from a menu.  Apply now if you meet the qualifications listed below!


Responsibilities for this cook job include:


  • Prepares food items using standardized recipes in a timely manner
  • Determines food and supplies needed and coordinate meal production with serving hours.
  • Prepares all special dietary need as directed by the menus.
  • Monitors all food items to see that at least the minimum guidelines for temperature, taste, and quality are upheld at all times.
  • Ensures the proper preparation, portioning, and serving of foods as indicated on the menu cycle and standardized recipes.
  • Tastes and prepares food to determine quality.
  • Maintains or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, hygiene, and health standards.
  • Assists with orientation and training of new kitchen employees.
  • Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.
  • Attends all in-services as required.
  • Follows all local, state, and federal policies regarding food handling.
  • Assists with proper documentation of temperature logs, taste panel forms, and cleaning schedules.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.



  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in fine dining preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Cook in a senior living community preferred.
  • Successful completion of recognized food safety course preferred.
