Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting for a Bilingual (Korean) Retail Manager in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles. Responsibilities for this Retail Manager job include:

 

Overall responsibility for managing the day to day store requirements, development and training of all store personnel and specifically Sales /Customer Service Management.

Consistently achieve store sales and profit objectives, including management of payroll expenses

Develop and implement plans to increase profitability and reduce expenses based on P&L results

Identify, effectively communicate and resolve store issues, informing appropriate District and Home Office personnel as needed

Manage and drive Loss Prevention initiatives and processes with direct accountability for Shrink results

Execute and participate in floor and front end leadership activities, including store open and close procedures which include Team Building meetings and daily store meeting communications.

Manage all freight flow and processing as well as appropriate tracking of company assets through inventory control with direct oversight of the Operations Assistant Manager and Stock Lead.

Drive asset management strategies and Loss Prevention initiatives as well as associate safety and security protocols.

Insure compliance with Cycle Count program and monthly inventory counts

Ensure the execution of ad set and visual merchandising standards working directly with the Sales Assistant Manager and Operation Assistant Manager

Direct, monitor and manage staffing and training to ensure competent associates are hired, trained and scheduled to properly service our customers

Train, develop and coach all store personnel -- from Assistant Managers to Staffs -- in the areas of standard operating procedures, customer satisfaction and solution selling

Ensure human resource issues are handled in accordance with guidelines; partner with HR Manager and Home Office HR when needed

As a Key Holder will be responsible for opening/closing the store. Supervising cleaning staff, setting alarms and keeping the entry area clean and organized

Perform  other duties and tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s degree preferred

Bilingual Korean (Mandatory)

Experience with a big box retailer in a mid-volume store and/or direct reports with full accountability for profit and loss.

Experience in human resources functions and capable of hiring, retaining and coaching qualified associates and managers

Previous experience in all aspects of retail management: driving sales, merchandising, operations, freight flow and customer service
