Returns – Employee Mail Focus


Under the direction of the Returns Supervisor and/or Returns Lead, the Returns – Employee Mail Agent will be required to perform the gathering, organizing and shipping of employee orders in support of daily business operations.


  • Participation in Shutterfly’s World Class Safety Program
  • Monitors assigned areas including the mail delivery cage, the ZBin area, and employee orders shelves, both internal and external
  • Restock consumables as needed, including tape rolls, tape guns, boxes, both new and recycled, and packing materials
  • Works with appropriate teams and warehouse personnel for new deliveries, shipping challenges, and courier related items
  • Assist Returns office agents on sorting, string/staging and restocking customer returns and bad address returns.
  • Task and time management.
  • Assure the sort area is ready for workflow daily at the beginning of shift and end of shift for efficient processing of all items through the area
  • Pack and ship external employee orders following the established process
  • Deliver internal employee orders as necessary to assure the employee shelves have the most current deliveries
  • Organize the employee shelves as needed to assure ease of identifying employee orders and space for additional orders.
  • Perform audits on employee orders as directed and report to the Returns Supervisor
  • Identify potential fraud and theft cases while handling employee orders and report them to the Returns Supervisor
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned to support the Returns function



Physical Demands (Must be able to perform with or without reasonable accommodation):

  • Lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
  • Walking in the facility and around with great frequency.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to 8 hours



Key Skills and Experience:

  • Ability to follow instructions, work independently, and within an aura of ambiguity
  • Position requires a broad range of skills such as organizing, geography, shipping and computer skills
  • Experience working in a factory environment, with forklifts and noise
  • Ability to document/describe procedures and practices
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to keep information confidential

Shift: Monday- Friday 8:30AM-5:00PM
