Revenue Cycle Analyst


A leading University in New Brunswick is seeking a Revenue Cycle Analyst. Duties include but not limited to;
Title: Revenue Cycle Analyst
Pay: $25/hr
Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to  5:00 pm
1. Analyzes billing functions and outstanding Accounts Receivable with the goal of increasing and expediting collections for assigned practices.
2. Analyzes physician charge patterns, reimbursement patterns, payer policies, and denials from payers to maximize collections and reduce reoccurring billing errors.
3. Under the direction of the Revenue Cycle Manager, the Revenue Cycle Analyst helps track, identify, trend, and reconcile billing metrics to improve cash flow and manage the overall health of the department¿s billing receivables.
4. Identifies trends and analyzes metrics to continually improve processes and key performance indicators within the department.
5. Responsible for generating real time data and provides weekly and monthly reports on practice¿s billing patterns.
6. Identifies administrative errors, inaccurate service code assignment, and discrepancies in interpretation of charging and/or reimbursement methodologies.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field, and at least 2 years of analyst experience required.
2 years experience in revenue cycle, preferably Physician billing.
Advanced Excel knowledge required.
Microsoft Access experience preferred.
Medical Billing Software experience
Excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
