REVENUE CYCLE COORDINATOR

Responsibilities. The Revenue Cycle Specialist will assist with the entire payment posting cycle, including but not limited to posting transactions, reconciling between systems, reviewing and working closely with related departments to enhance overall data flow and accuracy. This position will also be hands on with general accounting tasks as defined.

 

Essential Responsibilities

• Responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of payment posting

• Assist with the review of Payment Posting Request from the Billing department.

• Balance all paper and electronic payment batch between systems

• Coordinate the document submission for new payer types to streamline payment receipt process

• Assist with various monthly reports including but not limited to reconciliation of payments received, accounting records, and revenue cycle projections

• Assist management with special projects as needed

 

Position Requirements

  • Associate Degree, accounting or equivalent experience
  • Experience with posting and processing medical payments is a plus
  • Requires a high level of interpersonal, problem solving, and analytic skills
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize and meet pre-determined deadlines.
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task, be proficient at typing, and have advanced technical skills.
  • Experience in the Pharmacy industry a plus
  • Familiarization with on-line claims processing and Medicaid and Medicare billing practices.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel required.
