RN Lead, Case Management


Adecco Medical & Science is seeking a competent RN Lead, Case Management candidate to work for one of our customers in beutiful Camarillo, Ca! This is a direct hire full time position, with a company that manages Medi-Cal benefits to their members.
Under the direction of the Utilization Management or Care Management Manager, this position will serve as a subject matter expert to UM or CM staff. The Lead Nurse will monitor daily operations and provide management support.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

The RN LEAD works closely with other team members and is a role model and resource to colleagues. This position acts as a bridge by facilitating communication between the member, member"s family and the providers. The Registered Nurse (RN LEAD) also provides member advocacy and education to maintain or improve clinical outcomes.
RN Lead position is responsible for:
Assist with creation, editing and updating of all department job aides
Provide training support and functions as a preceptor to new staff
Independently identify the need for development or change in department processes to improve department efficiency and efficacy

Ensure all department audit activities are preformed
Liaison with Health Services staff to develop new training programs and clarify operational processes

Assists with system testing
Serve as a resource and subject matter expert
Expert in Managed Care principles and subject matter expert in operational processes of designated area.

Knowledge of principles and practices of utilization management
Relationship management skills, including non-aggressive assertiveness
Ability to engage easily in abstract thought

Ability to successfully manage conflict, negotiating “win-win” solutions

Strong organizational, delegation and task prioritization skills
Computer literacy on Microsoft Office Products and data base programs
Ability to interact with all levels of Health Services staff in a professional and non- threatening manner. Member advocacy focus

Knowledge of required regulatory timelines to ensure department compliance with State contracts
Excellent communication and people skills
Strong writing skills

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required
Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) Required, Field of Study: Registered Nurse
CCM or CM certification: Preferred: Preferred

Experience: 5 plus years of experience in healthcare field

Licenses: Registered Nurse License (RN). CCM or other CM certification preferred.
