General Job Summary:
Team Lead is responsible for managing day to day activities and lead a team of welders to ensure delivery of daily production goals for robotic welders.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

•Coordinate and ensure team members are at their work stations and producing parts during work times on their shift to support production goals.
•Ensure that production and labor is recorded correctly for the shift in Plex.
•Ensure MPCD’s are being followed.
•The team leader will complete the MPCD checks for each robot on the shift and ensure the documentation is recorded correctly.
•Ensure all materials are being properly labelled on the shift. This includes ensuring any materials that need to be put on hold are labelled correctly and placed on hold in Plex.
•Fill in for breaks and lunches to ensure that welders meet attainment goals. This will include filling in for team members that are absent.
•Be able to trouble shoot basic production problems to keep production moving.
•Communicate with the plant manager any issues that cannot be resolved during his shift
•Ability to understand verbal instructions in English
•During machine down time, ensure associates are cleaning, sorting or doing rework
•Be the “driving force” to keep the line moving steadily through the shift

Education/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred or equivalent combination of education

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have basic computer skills and general Plex knowledge.

Other Requirements:
Ability to read and comprehend work instructions. Ability to understand verbal instructions.

Language Skills:
Intermediate Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals


Mathematical Basic Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.


Reasoning Ability:
Intermediate Skills: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
