Sales Engineer
$130K - $140K Total Comp (Base+Bonus)

Our client is an international leader in the manufacturing and distribution of industrial products. They have been in business for more than 100 years and provide high quality products across multiple industries (including telecom, automotive, electrical and industrial). They have an opening for an experienced technical sales professional to expand existing accounts as well as create new business opportunities. This person will primarily be home based, with some time spent in the corporate office (South of Boston) as well as scheduled travel to meet with current customers as well as prospects.

This person will report to the Global Sales Director and have support from the local customer service team to assist with order processing and tracking.

Responsibilities:

Sell products by implementing national sales plans
Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
Implement national sales programs by developing field sales action plans for independent reps.
Maintain sales volume, product mix, and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring prices, competition, and supply and demand.
Maintain national representatives network by counseling and disciplining representatives; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.


Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree (Engineering or Industrial focus is preferred)
4 – 6 years of sales experience within a manufacturing or industrial organization
Prior experience having managed a staff of direct reports with sales responsibility and accountability
Demonstrated success in leading a sales operations function, with documented, sustained business performance
Demonstrated success in improving and implementing processes
Must be able to develop and execute strategies
Bilingual (a plus)
