Currently retained to find a Sales Manager for a global marine company with a U.S. location in Fort Lauderdale. This is a direct hire / full-time position.

Sales Manager
We are seeking a Sales Manager to join our Sales Team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The Sales Manager will mainly be responsible for securing and growing our Safety and Navigation products with existing Marine customers as well as new customers, including ship owners, managers, and shipyards. The Sales Manager will also be responsible for the Transport/Train market.
The current market the sales team is covering today is North America.
Additionally, the Sales Manager will manage and build up a business plan how we can start selling our products in South America.

- Fire and Gas detection system
- CEMS, Emission Monitoring System.
- Navigation products, VDR (Voyage Data Recorder), Speed Logs and echo sounder.
- Multi Cable Transits (MCT Brattberg)
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Grow our sales of the existing product portfolio to existing customers as well as new
customers with ship-owners, management companies and shipyards.
• Promoting our safety product portfolio to the Train industry in North America.
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
• Develop technical advisor relationships with customers

• Assesse market data and implement sales strategies; identify business
opportunities, new product offerings, and pinpoint problem areas.
• Provide necessary information to customers including pricing, delivery and terms
and conditions of sales - active selling is required
• Attend industry-related conferences, workshops and exhibitions
Sales Manager
• Research and identify potential customers for products or services
• Take leadership role in all customer-related activities, including visits to existing
customer locations, etc.
• Provide support and feedback to marketing department to plan and modify product
configurations to meet customer needs: promotion development plan (media,
frequency, and tools); development of new marketing collateral and selling
materials; and selection of trade shows
• Obtain competitive benchmark data and share internally
• Maintain sales and marketing forecasting reports
• Keep informed on industry news and trends, products, services, competitors,
relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the
latest product-line developments.
• Performs other related duties as required.
Required Skills
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years experience in selling to shipyards, naval engineering firms, and vessel
owners/operators
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant markets
• Demonstrated capability of working/negotiating with the senior decision makers
within customers (President, CEO, VP etc.)
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to interface and gain
trust cross-functionally and effectively manage in a matrix organization.
• Microsoft Office expertise
• Travel requirement 30%+
Education Requirement:
• Bachelor’s degree in technical or business field or equivalent experience is a benefit
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience from the Marine Market
• Technical expertise in safety systems
• Experience negotiating and interpreting contracts
