Salon Supervisor-Project Leader

Adecco is currently assisting a leading Cincinnati institution in their search for a Salon Supervisor with Project Leader experience the Cincinnati area! As the Salon Supervisor, you would be primarily responsible for managing the day-to-day coordination between analytical laboratory testing and working with R&D. Details about the position:

Location: Mason

Schedule: FT M-F 7:30-4:30

  • Hours of Work: Training Schedule: Mon-Thursday 7:30-2, Full time salon Supervisor 30-40 hour (to start Jan 4)

Pay Rate: $65-75/hour (based on experience)

Length of Assignment: 11/05/2018 to 06/01/2019

Job Description:

  • The scope if this role includes supporting the hair care business using the salon capability.
  • The salon leader should enable the development of products via the salon toolbox and salon partnership with the method organization.
  • The R&D ISL is a critical to generate performance data for several Retail Hair Care projects in Product Development and BTD.
  • Unique capability features of the salon testing are:
    - Co-develop with project team and stylist’s new salon designs, claim support ideas and method development
    - Controlled and consistent application of products, eliminating variability that occurs due to inconsistent consumer self-application.
    - Ability to do performance comparison evaluations via half head testing.
    - Holistic performance assessments from stylists, who are trained to give objective performance evaluations against a prescribed, consistent set of attributes.
    - Connect product and package development scientists with licensed cosmetologists who truly understand hair (hair health and hair end-look / beauty) from a consumer perspective and can articulate aspects of product performance and provide insights that a typical consumer will not articulate.
  • All services provided must comply with all Client service level agreements and critical performance indicators.


Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Daily coaching for associates (goal setting and daily task setting)
  • Read and write technical protocols and SOP s
  • Work with R&D and have the technical ability to do performance evaluations on testing methods
  • Provide corrective action coaching to associates

Minimum Qualifications Needed to Apply:

  • Salon Supervisor
  • STEM background and has experience evaluating beauty products
  • Is computer-proficient (Microsoft Office)
  • R&D consumer research background; ideally with sensory and or salon/hair care experience.
  • Understands basic math, statistical design
  • Good written and oral communication; writing scientific summaries, writing study designs, creating PPT slides for data share with project teams.
  • Ability to act and make decisions with rapid changes
