Sanitation Crew 3rd shift

Adecco Staffing is working with a Manufacturing company in Chester, VT. We are looking for additinal staff on 3rd shift working with the sanatation crew. 

 

Summary:

Perform sanitation activities in support of keeping all processing equipment and the facility clean and in optimal working condition. Perform assigned responsibilities to support the safe and productive manufacture of quality product and to meet the goals of the Company.

 

Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Director of Operations. No direct supervisory responsibilities.

 

Principal Duties &Responsibilities:

  • Ensure processing equipment and facility is prepared and sanitized as required before each shift. Efficiently plan and adhere to all cleaning and sanitation schedules.
  • Follow established procedures in the disassembly, cleaning, sanitation, and reassembly of all equipment and tools.
  • Clean and sanitize production room and all equipment, conveyors, floors and mats.
  • Responsible for overall cleanliness throughout the facility including common areas, warehouse, offices and rest rooms.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of CIP and sanitation equipment, chemical cleaners and sanitizers. Participate in training as needed.
  • Collaborate and communicate regularly with operations staff to ensure safety, quality and efficiency are always paramount. Provide regular updates of projects and/or work orders to appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain high cleanliness and quality standards. Report any concerns immediately upon discovery and take/recommend steps to remediate.
  • Adhere to, use and encourage Good Manufacturing Practices following all sanitation SOPs and process procedures and guidelines.
  • Adhere to, use and encourage safe work practices, following safety rules and regulations including but not limited to Lock Out/Tag Out and personal protective equipment. Report any potential safety hazards, near misses or injuries to the Director of Operations.
  • Perform duties of Mix or Production Technician as needed.
  • Ensure a neat/clean/safe work area to prevent injury or product contamination.
  • Maintain sanitation supplies inventory and tools/ equipment.
  • Complete required and appropriate documentation for department. Develop and maintain sanitation SOPs.
  • Collaborate, communicate and meet with managers and other appropriate personnel to accomplish Company goals. Prepare for and attend meetings as required.
  • Adhere to and follow all Company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

    Physical Demand - Employees must be able to:

  • Lift approximately 50 lbs. from a bending, standing, or stooping position safely and comfortably.
  • Bend, lift, climb, twist, reach, lean over, pull, push, stoop and stand on concrete floor on a regular basis and for long periods of time.
  • Perform repetitive motor functions from a standing position for extended periods (three-four hours).
  • Tolerate moderate to loud noise, fluctuating temperatures and wet working environment.

    Qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and through written documentation. Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to reason with and apply basic math (including use of calculator) and mechanics.
