Job Title: Scan Operator

Location: Mountain View, CA

Estimated Length: 1 year

Pay: $17/hr.


Job Description:


You will be working with our client the “World’s Largest Search Engine” and be responsible for scanning all receipts within our SLA (Service Level Agreement). Day to day activity includes; sorting receipts, scanning and indexing auditing receipts within the storage application and shredding receipt material once audited.

  • Schedules are based on current staffing needs and are subject to quarterly rotations and updates. Desired schedules are not guaranteed.
    • Overtime needs to be approved prior to working the overtime by the Sr. Operations Manager only.


Day to Day



  • Receive receipts from participating merchants per Merchant SOP
  • Update the “Receiving” doc with receipts received and escalate which stores are missing to market POC
  • Scan and index all receipts within the SLA specified  
  • During any downtime the scan operator is to be auditing the receipts to ensure the receipts have been scanned and uploaded correctly prior to shredding
  • Post audit, the receipts are to be discarded in the secure “shred only” bin  
  • Manual look up may be required if customer support needs a receipt quicker than SLA allows

Cases & Consults

  • Responses to Cases (inquiries from Returns or Customer Support) need to be responded to within a 1-hour SLA


  • Attention should be paid to spelling, accurate information, completeness and thoroughness. This is an individual's own responsibility task, as auditing will be enabled daily for all items within the scanning process.


  • Filling out appropriate Forms and Trackers, refer to the SOP for links and instructions. Abiding by and referring to SOPs when questions of procedure and direction arise. Escalating any issues to the Sr. Operations Manager  


  • Deviations from the scope of work are not permitted without the prior approval of the Sr. Operations Manager.
  • Removing receipts from the scanning location without approval of the Sr. Operations Manager is subject to removal from project.
  • Assets must be locked at all times when not in use and cannot leave the scanops area without prior approval - personal use is not permitted on work assets.
