Scheduler G REQ 00181017

Our client, the World's Largest Search Engine, is looking for an experienced scheduler for a short term temporary assignment. This person will schedule home visits from a list of participants for ~2-hour sessions for Data Collectors to visit. The people on the list have already been identified and have provided availability. Our client needs help with strategic scheduling to make the best use of everyone’s time to optimize the data collection efforts.

Position Responsibilities:

  1. Create a schedule that allows vendors to visit the homes of identified participants and also optimizes for travel in the Bay Area, thereby maximizing the number of houses visited every day.

    1. Schedule Data Collectors within the same area for the same day to minimize traffic and travel between houses. (users such as single outliers/east bay etc where travel and traffic would be too costly for return could be excluded or left to the end to schedule at convenient times if possible)

    2. Leverage the 5 Data Collectors to maximize the data collection efforts optimizing for hours worked within break times and minimizing OT.

    3. Target is 3 houses per day (could be 4 if very close by while ensuring that Data Collectors don’t go in overtime or conflict with breaks or it could be 2 for Data Collectors who will be using the advanced sound recording rigs)

  2. Communicate with participants (email, chat, phone if necessary) to ensure that the schedule works for them, including tracking alternate times, cancellations and reschedulings, etc. Make sure that important information is acknowledged up front, such as

    1. Ensure if they are going to have an authorized adult (AA) that no one present in the home (AA or otherwise) is associated with a competitor.

      1. If AA is to be used, collect that person’s name so we will have a record of the expected person on site when the Temp arrives.

      2. If AA is to be used, ensure that they have signed the Google provided NDA as well as Authorized Adult form.

    2. Confirm that they know that the sound collection involves some loud sounds, and access to all major rooms, etc

    3. gather contact information to use in case of emergency changes or things like traffic hold-ups, delayed time at previous house etc. In this case, the scheduler might need to reschedule the Googler and adjust the schedule appropriately.

  3. Work with everyone on the team to keep them updated on the current schedule and major changes.
