Estimated Length: 1 year with the opportunity to extend to two years based on performance

Pay: $40.00 - $45.00/hr.

Job Description:

You will be working with our client the “World’s Largest Search Engine” and be responsible for analyzing operation performance, uncovering cost, quality and scalability drivers and leading planning to improve customer experience and reduce cost. You have a strong desire to understand empirical facts. You are a problem solver by nature, a self-starter, and a diligent team player.

As a member of our team, you will be the main analyst that is responsible for supporting key reporting, standardization and training processes and tools. You will be tasked with completing a varying range of analysis by developing advanced queries, scripts, models and dashboards. Furthermore, you will implement measures to continuously improve upon these models and create robust documentation to support and troubleshoot models. You will lead the development of multiple key projects that directly contribute to the scaled impact of our business.

You strike a solid balance between technical skills and project management skills. You are comfortable breaking down complex concepts and queries to non-tech members of the

organization (BD, support, etc.). Furthermore, you not only pull numbers or run reports, but also take the initiative to understand what the numbers and reports mean to the business and can clearly communicate back to key stakeholders.  You work with the large data sets to uncover new and valuable insights to the organization.

You are a problem solver, quick learner and someone who is self-directed and self-motivated. Attention to detail is paramount.  You also thrive in a fast-paced, often changing environment.

Role Qualifications:

  • 3 - 4 years and solid experience with

    • SQL (complex database query and scripting; familiar with complex functions)

    • Spreadsheets (Google/Excel) and advanced Java Scripting

    • Data visualization tools (Tableau or others)

    • Experience in developing and/or maintaining complex database systems

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal)

  • Able to work independently

  • Sound business judgment and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively

  • Ability to translate queries and numbers into business insights

  • Have a strong sense of ownership and a desire to develop new skills

  • Problem solver by nature, a self-starter, and a diligent team player

  • Comfortable with ambiguity

  • Ability to pivot direction and priorities on short notice

Academic Qualifications:

  • Advanced education in data analytics, data science, statistics, mathematics or other degrees that require rigorous data analytics
