Senior Analyst

A Senior Accounting Analyst position is now available in Plano, TX is now open through the Adecco Group for a national Auto client.

Location: Plano, TX
Duration: 12 months
Pay Rate: $68 / hour


Job Summary:


To support the Accounting Systems team in managing monthly and quarterly requests from various Accounting teams for enhancements to accounting financial systems. This position will work directly with the Manager who oversees the Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) system as well as the monthly Financial Systems Maintenance (FSM) process. This person will help to plan, analyze, and execute on the various enhancement requests from Accounting end users, follow up on and respond to questions around enhancement requests, and ensure changes are made timely and accurately. More detailed tasks are as follows:


Create and manage the FSM Agenda and FSM Committee


FSM Administrative



Coordinate annual review of reports with various teams
Update FSM roles/responsibilities
Update distribution lists and SharePoint access
Update FSM form for changes
Create annual artifact review (rules/reports)
Send out and compile approvals for the FSM changes


Requirements gathering



Collaborate and assist the business and technical teams to document business requirements and solutions to meet business needs
Review requirements and ensure impacts to the system are in accordance with best practices and all impacts to the system are captured in the system requirements


User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Coordination



Coordinate testing with business users
Collaborate with the business and technical teams on testing, acceptance, regression, and managing defects and resolve issues
Develop a robust testing process, which includes: creating test plans/test scripts, , testing, validating, and implementing system changes and improvements
Review completed UAT checklists to ensure testing is complete for system impacts
Compile UAT checklists to prepare for migration to Production


Troubleshooting Issues




Collaborate with business and technical teams to troubleshoot issues
User Oracle support to research new functionality, troubleshoot problems, and escalate to Service Now process

Training Administrative




Coordinate meeting times, conference rooms, meals/snacks, etc.
Update training material/documents for delivery
Create and train SME group
Coordinate changes from Automation efforts
Explore opportunities to encourage increased usage and adoption of the system by the user community
Supporting Kaizen projects




What specific TFS departments will they interact with?
Accounting & Tax, FP&A, Business Intelligence (BI)

REQUIREMENTS:

Must Haves:

5-10 years of experience (NO MORE THA 10!) with managing, configuring, and supporting Financial systems such as HFM, SAP, PeopleSoft, Essbase, or other similar systems.
Experience with Hyperion Financial Management, and Hyperion Suite of products as a systems administrator, BSA, or Analyst required

HFM is MUST HAVE – current experience (last 10 years)

Solid understanding of best practices in HFM and the ability to bring consulting approach to help the business solve issues and challenges
Experience with configuration, development experience in a business support role
Experience with HFM VB scripts (HFM rules)
Ability to create and/or modify HFR reports and SmartView spreadsheets
Technical experience with eliminations and consolidations
Experience with metadata and metadata mapping
4-year Accounting degree (CPA not required but strongly encouraged)
Strong Accounting knowledge and experience
Self-starter, ability to work independently, and ability to work with a diverse set of stakeholders
Proven ability to successfully interact with and influence multiple layers of management and business users
Ability to gain consensus and alignment across diverse groups of business and technical users
Proved ability to apply critical thinking skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong organization skills and attention to detail
Strong aptitude to learn, and flexibility required


Preferred/ Nice-to-haves:

Delivery of training to small-medium sized groups
Financial services industry experience
Experience with Agile project methodology
CPA
Big 4 or national public accounting experience
Experience with FDMEE
