Location: NYC 10019  (25% travel required)

Position: Senior Auditor  (Bank)  

Contract: W2  5 months  ( possible extenion and/or conversion )

Pay rate per hour: $62.00 


The Senior Auditor assists in leading a team focused on assigned audit as well as preparation of key audit documents (pRCM, SOX documentation, Audit Reports, etc.) 



•Assists with / completes ad-hoc assignments, reporting for local office head and senior audit managers, and special projects 
•Responsible for assisting with planning of audits 
•Responsible for assisting with time and staffing budgets for upcoming audits 
•Responsible for contact with management regarding audit scope, status, and then preparation of findings and recommendations 
•Works at direction of Audit Managers 
•Performs testing procedures for more critical areas of audits 
•Provides on-the-job training for staff 
•Supervises findings follow up tasks with management and audit staff 
•Is a subject matter expert in at least one area of discipline 
•Works independently, on teams, and receives assistance/coaching from the audit manager 
•Provides feedback on staff performance on an audit project basis 
•Assists in providing feedback for staff evaluations 
•Updates, revises, and improves existing audit procedures and programs 
•Adds value through consultative interactions with business line management 

Must Have: 

5-7+ yrs exp. as an Internal or Public Auditor within Wholesale / Investment banking 
•Certification preferred and willingness to pursue additional certifications 
•Strong knowledge of Capital Markets (Fixed income related products & processes) 
•Knowledge of Canadian, US and UK regulatory requirements 
•Strong familiarity with bank Securities business lines, products & strategies within Canada, US & UK preferred
•Strong knowledge of audit principles & practices 
•Extensive knowledge of global bank audit methodologies 
Travel approximately 25% -- principally to Toronto 
•University degree 
•Excellent oral and written communication skills 
•Coaching and counseling skills 
•Ability to delegate work to others 
•Strong decision-making and follow through ability 
•Computer skills (MS Office Suite) 
•Work well independently, with others, and can multi-task efficiently
•Strong Analytical skills in assessing risk, issues and challenging status quo
