Adecco is currently looking for a Senior Payroll Administrator for a local media company in the downtown Cincinnati Ohio area. The Senior Payroll Administrator will be handling the administration of payroll and HR services as well processing leaves of absence. The senior payroll administrator, will also be acting as the liaison between HR and outside service providers, in addition to serving as a resource and advisor to other payroll administrators for questions, training, and guidance as it relates to day-to-day activities for their assigned payroll group. The senior payroll administrator will also be responsible for the day-to-day activities for payroll for specific groups throughout the organization. Payrate: $23.50 an hour


Essential Job Functions:

• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of leaves processes.
• Assist outsourced leaves to troubleshoot errors ensuring STD, FMLA, and WC are administered correctly.
• Track employee leaves to ensure pay is paid appropriately.
• Act as the escalation point for leaves issues from the outside service provider and from the HR business partners.
• Manage and review timecards for accuracy during leave period.
• Communicate Leaves updates with outside service provider and HRBPs
• Work with Benefit Director and outside service provider to resolve denied or pending Leave status for employees.
• Audit Leave processes and payouts to ensure that employees are accurately paid for the periods before and after the Leave dates, as well as proper payment during the Leave itself.
• Manage the review and sign-off of bi-weekly timecards
• Updating employee records (new hires, transfers, etc.) in the HRMS in support of the timekeeping system and monitor daily reports for discrepancies.
• Manage the submission of one-time payments (commissions, bonus, relocation, etc.)
• Provide support in resolving payroll and timekeeping issues, providing reporting, and other HR/Payroll related tasks as required
• Remit bi-weekly payroll deductions such as charitable deductions, gym memberships, transportation passes, etc. to accounting for payment
• Submit voluntary deductions such as charitable deductions, gym memberships, etc. for processing
• Process manual check requests and resolve payroll/eTime issues, as necessary
• Act as the escalation point for payroll issues from the outside service provider and internal stakeholders
• Works with outside service provider and internal stakeholders to ensure all payroll policies and payroll-related controls are being followed
• Assist in the creation and processing of standard and ad-hoc reports containing HR and payroll related information in order to meet internal and external reporting requirements and operational reviews
• Assist the Director, HR Operations with Federal, State, and Local payroll tax issues and the year-end process (review of W-2 forms prepared by outside service provider)
• Communicate payroll issues to Manager, Payroll Operations, and the outside service provider as required.
• Refer employees to the Employee Service Center for resolution of payroll issues
• Participate in any audit or controls and compliance activities as necessary
• Assist with the payroll activities for mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures as



  • 2 - 5 years of experience in payroll processing
  • 2 - 5 years of experience with leaves processing preferred
  • ADP experience
  • Experience working with outside service providers preferred.
  • Customer consulting skills
  • Ability to partner effectively with different groups of customers
  • Analytical skills
  • Advanced in MS Excel
  • Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Outlook) as required for analyzing data
  • The ability to design training and present training to others
  • PHR preferred
  • Associate's degree or higher, or equivalent experience in HR or another pertinent field
