Senior Project Engineer

Adecco is helping assist a local client who is looking for a Senior Project Engineer. This is a great company to work for who is located in the Waterford, NY area.
Job Description:

  • The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for overall investment (and other) project leadership and ownership. Responsibility will extend from own project execution to managing groups of projects in designated plant areas through mentoring, training and guidance to other site project leaders.
  • He/she will be responsible for delivery of assigned project objectives for scope, schedule, budget, and cash flow.
  • He/she will ensure daily activities are aligned with overall project priorities and will work rigorously to complete project deliverables.
  • He/she will understand and comply with all site EHS and engineering standards and contribute innovative ideas to promote efficiency, cost reduction, and performance.
  • The Senior Project Engineer will engage operational customers to ensure satisfaction of agreed objectives.
  • He/she will also be responsible for project-related programs to support the investment process across the site, and will be expected to support continuous improvement of the overall investment process.
  • He/she will actively participate in the development of his/her engineering skills, functional competencies, and personal effectiveness.


  • Candidates must be physically able to do field work in an industrial environment involving walking long distances and climbing of stairs and fixed ladders.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in an engineering or technical discipline preferred; other educational achievements may also be considered.
  • Minimum 10 years experience demonstrating Project Engineering skills, preferably in a Manufacturing or Production environment.
  • Experience leading cross-functional and diverse project teams.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and documentation including P&IDs, construction drawings, industry and site codes and standards, and manufacturing operating manuals.
  • Must be capable of thinking and working independently with minimal direction from area and / or other project leadership.
  • Must possess effective time management skills with ability to multitask.
  • Demonstrated energy and tenacity to work through obstacles hindering project advancement.
  • Experience teaching and mentoring others
