Responsibilities for this Senior Sales Strategy Analyst job include, but are not limited to:             

  • Will support our Sales Performance Management team with a strong technical, analytic, and problem-solving ability
  • The team currently designs territories, determines quotas and administers commission plans for approximately 600 team members
  • The Senior Sales Strategy Analyst is responsible for compensation analytics, and reconciling data sources for revenue transactions
  • This person will develop varied, complex and confidential reports and processes, and must be organized and detail oriented
  • This person must ensure all tasks are completed with a high level of accuracy and customer satisfaction
  • This role requires a working knowledge of company data architecture and databases, including data flow and tools
  • This individual will report to the Manager of Compensation Analytics
  • This is a critical support role which will ensure processes and communications are consistent amongst the sales teams, as well as align for success within the organization
  • Compensation Analytics & Reporting
  • Manage the monthly/quarterly Compensation Analytics review meeting which details the drivers of period quota attainment and percentage of target incentive payout
  • Collect data from various database and departmental resources to understand drivers to monthly performance
  • Make actionable recommendations to improve compensation plan design, quota setting, territory design, and overall sales strategy Collaborate with FP&A and Quota Administration team to understand the assumptions used to create the budget and sales targets
  • Build analytics reports and dashboards for Sales leaders within compensation administration tool, Incent
  • Provide midmonth reports to project end of period quota attainment and commission expense risk
  • Create the annual commissions budget based on sales headcount and recent trend of commission expense
  • Act as a central liaison to help with the development and improvement of reports and dashboards that provide reliable and actionable insights
  • Distill data into concise analyses/presentations with stated recommendations and implications to enable sound decision making
  • Serve up data to connect insights from a variety of analyses to tell a holistic story and drive actionable strategies and recommendations

 

Qualifications for this Senior Sales Strategy Analyst job:

  • B.S./B.A. Finance, business, or math degree
  • Experience 4-5 years of business and/or compensation administration experience required Xactly, Salesforce, Tableau, Excel, Power BI experience highly preferred
  • Basic skills in teamwork, communication, presentation, and time management to work effectively with teams throughout the organization Outstanding communication, listening and interpersonal skills required
  • Self-motivated and driven individual Strong organizational and presentation skills Ability to work in a high performance, fast paced team environment
  • Ability to prioritize and work well under pressure with a sense of urgency while remaining focused Expertise or knowledge of various data systems
  • Ability to adapt to change and analyze and identify opportunities to increase effectiveness in services provided to clients
  • Well-versed with all Microsoft Office programs; Business Objects, SAS, Tableau, PowerBI preferred Accomplishments (Degrees, Certifications, Languages)
  • Sales compensation certification a plus
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time Indoor/office environment
  • Prepare Monthly Comp Analytics presentation for Sales Leadership Model building Compensation Analysis Performance Analysis Salesforce.com report creation Technical writing Data Analysis
