Assists the Sensory Specialist in organizing and running sensory test ensuring samples preparation, samples administration, and maintenance of sensory facilities.


Position Responsibilities:
Under the supervision and guidance of Sensory Specialist:
Planning and running tasting sessions.
Collecting/ordering and storing products, samples and references as needed for sensory studies.
Planning, scheduling, and running assigned panel sessions.
Preparing and serving samples to the panel according to instructions.
Involvement in tasting / understanding of tasting procedures and methodologies.
Drawing up and collecting test ballots (paper or computer), and running basic statistical analyses.
Management of shelf-life tests.
Assisting Sensory Specialist on screening and training of panels, including panel performance monitoring.

Analysis and report of sensory results
Use of IT tools: Sensory software for the data acquisition and analysis of results, MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
Summarizing and reporting results (write simple reports).
Informing about panel performance.

Help in managing the sensory facilities
Keeping sensory equipment and facilities clean, tidy, and operational.


The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Technical training in scientific or food-related field, BS is food science or related field is a plus.
Experience in sensory evaluation or equivalent is a plus.
Computer-literate: MS-Office. Sensory data collection / statistical software is a plus.
