Job Title: Shipment Returns Coordinator (Imports/Exports)

Start Date:  03/19/2018

Duration: 4/18/2019 (1year contract assignment)

Shift Schedule:  Standard Schedule; 5 days on and 2 days off 


Needing a Shipment Coordinator 2 (Returns Coordinator) with Advanced SAP skills. Knowledge of warehouse operations and procedures.
Knowledge of scheduling practices. General knowledge and application of materials.

  • Coordinates with sales staff, dispatchers, customer service representatives, warehouse staff and
  • shipping/receiving.
  • Answers inquiries from customers and investigates complaints regarding services and policies.
  • Input, update and consolidate ETA/shipping data and send to appropriate business units.
  • Analyzes load information from customers in order to determine and verify the appropriate
  • routes, rates, and schedules.
  • Coordinates shipment schedules with vendors.
  • Position will receive direction and support. This position would typically include senior Logistics Coordinators with extensive prior experience.
  • Additional responsibilities include to liaise with Customs/Excise officers and other 3rd party, verify shipping documents for endorsement, prepare cover letter with the endorsed documents and send to 3rd party Trades and Affiliates.
  • Familiar with trade regulations.
  • Actualize voyages and initiate freight payment/billing by completing voyages online.
  • Verifying billing invoices from vendor and reconcile differences in Intercompany Invoicing System (INNET) invoices.
  • Follow up with supplying source on credit/debit.
  • Troubleshoot system issue in the day-to-day operation.
  • Identify dollar savings through transportation optimization.
  • Analyze transportation spend and recommend optimization opportunities.
  • Assist in generation of dead stock / slow moving / excessive imported inventory disposal and redeployment plan.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision and provide training to junior Logistics Coordinators.

  • Strong communication skills as this position will be contact point for government officer.
  • Familiarity/Proficiency with computer systems.
  • Logical thinking skills for logistics optimization and improvement to the work process.
