The Shipping and Receiving Clerk position is part of the Shipping and Receiving Department. The clerk assists the Shipping Coordinator and Shipping Team Leader with the day-to-day activities. They ensure the efficient and timely processing and handling of all outbound and inbound shipments. Success in this positions depends on the ability to ensure compliance with safety, security, regulatory, and company policies, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment. The ideal candidate will have the ability to consistantly lift items weighing between 20-70 lbs while working in a fast paced environment. Under tight deadlines, performs duties such as sorting, packing, loading, unloading trailers. Palletizing and separation of freight/documents. Ensures all delivery material is prepared for shipment. Requires forklift experience as well as the ability to properly operate small tools such as a staple gun and table saw. Good writing and oral communication skills are required. Must have a HS Diploma or GED and posses the ability to reach overhead, squat, bend, kneel, stoop, and crouch repeatedly. Requires 3-5 years of related experience.
