The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for the assembling, addressing, stamping, and shipping of merchandise or material.

Duties: Examine contents of shipment and compare with record, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy of out-going shipment. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, and shipping orders to route materials. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, and space availability for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes. Pack, seal, and label materials to prepare for shipping using work devices such as hand tools/power tools. Requisition and store materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.

Experience: 4+ years and certified in forklift operation

? Has developed proficiency through job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience
? Completes work with a limited degree of supervision
? Likely to act as an informal resource for colleagues with less experience

Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft office products.

Other Skills: Highly skilled at loading trucks and staging and freight preparation. Expert knowledge and extensive training in crate department procedures. Experience in shipping department tools and usage (i.e. power tools).The ability to read and write at a level necessary for successful job performance.
