Site Technician

Job Responsibilities: 
-Operating computer equipment and RF scanning equipment to collect available channel information at specific locations along the US Interstate system across the lower 48 states.. 
-Will be provided a custom vehicle purpose built and configured for the task.
-Scanning equipment will be installed along with other equipment used to transfer files and allow for remote monitoring. 
-The scan locations are selected based upon a proprietary methodology ahead of the technician arriving at the location.
-Each scan will be done stationary at the specified location for approximately 30 minutes (time may vary based on scan results).
-Once scanning is complete the technician will move to the next specified point approximately 70 miles away.
-This process will be repeated along the entirety of the US Interstate System. 

The goal of the current project is to complete driving the US Interstate system by approximately December 21, 2018, Due to the nature of the project, travel will be 100% of the time. 

This technician will be working with another scanning technician and two other technicians to complete the project. 

Travel - 100% across the lower 48 states. 
Time commitment - from hire date through the end of 2018 candidate will be available to work on the project 
Good computer skills 
Formal technical training (degree in electronics, software development or other technical discipline) 
Productive driving skills preferred (mapping projects for Microsoft Bing or Google Maps) 
Clean driving record 
Valid drivers license
