Your Challenge This position aims at both research and development of solutions that provides various Philips healthcare products a unified solution for orchestrating people, data, and processes in real-time, care intervention and communication solutions. Your Responsibilities • Develop applications and components within a highly motivated software development team focused on the creation of next generation medical information systems and applications. • Learn and contribute to solving problems with our highly experienced software development consultants • Work with others in an environment that encourages new ideas and innovations. • Translate user requirements into unique solutions utilizing the latest technologies from Microsoft, Apple and Google. Your Team The Patient Monitoring Systems team is the world leader in developing innovative software solutions using cutting edge IT, networking, and mobile technologies for centralized patient monitoring, including clinical decision support and intelligent information presentations that help healthcare caregivers worldwide save lives, improve total quality of care, and reduce costs across the continuum of care. What We Are Looking For • Currently pursuing BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical & Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related discipline • Good understanding of object oriented software development concepts and methodologies. • Must be motivated to learn and put that knowledge to work. • Must have excellent grades and/or provable skills. • Must be familiar with any of the following technologies through Coursework, industry, or self-taught: .NET framework, C#, or C++ • Must have an intense desire to write code and solve problems • Experience with Windows development using Microsoft technologies such as TFS, WinForms, WPF, WCF • Exposure to iOS and Android development is a plus. • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to produce high quality work independently. • Good communication and interpersonal skills. • Must be available on full-time basis for duration of co-op (May – August)
