Position Overview
Sourcing Analyst is accountable for the financial reporting, planning and budgeting for the sourcing department. Develop statistical and analytical studies; prepares and assists in the preparation of financial reports, business cases, and presentations/publications according to prescribed guidelines; performs related duties as required.

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

Budgeting
Development of budgets for the Sourcing Department; provides information and assists staff and administrators in budget preparation, implementation, and control; prepares, balances, compiles, and enters budget data; performs statistical analysis of budgets; monitors and evaluates budgets for appropriateness to ensure compliance. Creates standard cost for direct and indirect materials.

Communications and Technical Support
Maintains communication with internal staff and external clients regarding financial matters; provides information and technical support in the development and revision of financial reports; assists in the development and documentation of office systems and procedures.

Financial Reporting
Prepares financial reports and presentations as required by the Procurement Department ; assists Sourcing Department in compiling data and interpreting financial data; maintains statistical reports and key performance indicators; plans and monitors timelines and project plans to meet strict deadlines reviews and verifies statistical and financial information to ensure accuracy and completeness.

Research and Data Analysis
Researches and analyzes financial and business process data for Sourcing staff; creates, organizes, and maintains files using database and spreadsheet programs; retrieves and organizes data into required reporting formats; collects, retrieves and organizes data to identify cost savings/value improvement opportunities and resolve staff/client inquiries; recommends solutions to external clients and staff ensuring that corrections or changes are implemented properly.

Qualifications

Education, Training, and Experience:

The ideal candidate for this position will have:
Minimum 8-10 years of successful experience in accounting, financial analysis and reporting, demonstrating progression in career.
Knowledge of
Generally accepted financial/business analytic principles and procedures; standard software applications, p; principles and techniques of financial/business case preparation, project administration, statistical methods, technical writing,
Experience in purchasing or sourcing areas

Skill and Ability to:

Research, retrieve and organize data to conduct appropriate analytics and prepare reports and financial documentation;
Analyze and audit data to detect, and correct errors;
Set up and maintain spreadsheets and databases;
Organize and maintain project records;
Set priorities and organize work to meet strict deadlines;
Communicate effectively in both oral and written form;
Establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external clients;
Interpret and explain complex data/analytics; make decisions on a variety of complex matters in accordance with established procedures.
