Assists the VP Credit Risk Manager with all aspects of the underwriting process by performing the following duties.  

Prepare a sound, independent and objective assessment of financial, management, market and industry risk factors and loan structure associated with credit facility requests, to be presented to local Credit Committee and if necessary to be submitted to Head Office for approval. In addition, responsible for:

* Review and understand loan structure to be included in credit analysis
● Applying finance and industry experience in analyzing historical financial information for financial clients/prospective clients making loan requests
● Critically analyzing client and prospective client historical data, including, but no limited to labor disputes, litigation, environmental concerns to establish risk criteria and recommendations
● Making determination regarding the political, regulatory and economic conditions of client scope of operation to determine financing viability
● Establishing base case and stress case projections for client/prospective clients as basis for recommendation to Loan Committee
● Making recommendation on financial package and loans
● Prepare and meet timeframes to distribute credit analysis with respective assessment of financial standing for every credit customer assigned, to be presented to local and/or head office credit committee
● Accurately spread historical financial statements and analyze them

● Maintain (electronic and physical) credit and legal files updated with any pertinent information
● Input of pertinent information after local approval (if necessary) into our online Aprocred system
● Ongoing review of the credit files
● Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting or related field

* Minimum four(4) years of financial analysis experience

* Experience with loan types delaing with Mergers, Acquisition, Large Corporate Syndications, Trade Finance and Real Estate is required
* Fluency in Spanish (both written and verbal)
* Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

● Ability to maintain information in an organized manner
● Maintain courteous, professional and effective internal and external working relationships
● Provide timely and appropriate responses to requests for information and/or customer complaints or concerns and provide appropriate follow up to ensure issues are resolved
● Provide constructive feedback and suggestions in a cooperative professional manner
● Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages

● Ability to understand, speak, read and write English and Spanish is required

● Effectively speaking before groups of customers or employees
● Assume evolving duties and responsibilities of position
● Work all hours required to fulfill job duties and responsibilities (including, weekends, evenings and holidays as needed)
● Travel as required
