Responsible for assisting in the preparation of various financial activities including data gathering, trending, modeling, forecasting, planning, and reporting. Collect information from various areas across the company and to assist in the building of models to provide insight to underlying business dynamics. Contribute to the annual budgeting process, the weekly forecast process, and other initiatives as they arise. Have the capabilities to own and contribute to processes and/or portions of processes.

Prepares accurate and timely financial and business related analyses, research, and forecasts including financial and expense performance, rate of return, depreciation, weekly divisional forecasts, working capital and investments
Compiles and prepares accurate and timely reports, graphs and charts of data developed
Conceptualizes, develops and presents business cases to present to department financial leadership
Participates in special financial and business related studies as needed to support project objectives
Partners with other departments in the preparation of analyses and to identify improvement opportunities that can provide positive results to the bottom line
Contributes to critical Planning and Analysis processes
Contributes to the analysis of alternatives, recommendations and research from multiple sources
Applies moderate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of business issues
Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and some project direction input

Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action. This is a career opportunity with a clear upward track to a top level management position within 5 years.

- Must have excellent FP&A experience
- Strong Excel skills (V lookups, pivot tables, if/than statements, conditional formatting, macros to some extent)
-The Sr. Finance Analyst must be able to summarize data in a way that makes sense for the end user. They must be able to understand the “end” goal. We want someone that can recognize opportunities and suggest solutions.
-Ability to work in a fast paced environment & deal with some levels of ambiguity
-We are converting to in house systems later this year, which means everything at store level that plugs in will change. The same will be true in the corporate office. The Finance team is currently using Oracle but will be moving to Lawson.
-Looking for someone who has the ability to grow and advance with the company.
-The ideal candidate will also be able to interact and build relationships with the senior leadership team. Many times are President or Sr. VP of Ops will ask for various ad hoc reports, so this individual must have the ability to generate these reports in a quick fashion.
