POSITION: Statistician
LOCATION: Durham, NC (Zip 27709)
DURATION: 6+ Months
PAY RATE: $40-$55/hr
HOURS: 40 hrs per week

**Must be eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship / no corp to corp or 3rd party contracting arrangement / Adecco W2 only.**

We are seeking a 6 month (with a possible extension for an additional 6 months) contract statistician to

• Provide statistical support and conduct statistical analysis for Seed & Trait Safety studies, specifically agronomic, composition, protein expression, human and animal safety, environmental studies, laboratory assays and method validation.
• Generate tables, listings and figures using SAS reporting and graphic tools. Prepare high quality statistical reports and relevant supporting documents. Archive analysis packages.
• Validate/QC statistical analysis results generated by other statisticians.
• Interact with biotech study directors and regulatory/QA managers.



REQUIREMENTS
• PhD in Statistics/Biostatistics with minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience, MS with minimum of 2-5 years relevant experience or BS with minimum of 4-7 years relevant experience.
• Experience in agricultural biotechnology regulatory studies preferred.
• Familiar with experimental design, sample size calculation, linear models, especially SAS mixed procedure, non-linear models and categorical analysis.
• Strong SAS programming skills. SAS certificates preferred
• Computer skills: SAS package, R, Microsoft Office
• Self-organization and planning skills
• Constructive and proven team working attitude
• Problem solving skills
• Attention to detail
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills in English
