Summer Work Study College Students

Length: 6-4-18 through 8-17-18 (then there will be Fall, Winter, Spring assignments)
Maximum hourly pay rate $16.00/hour
Maximum hours allowed to work per week: 19 hours (Our will work around your school schedule)

General Job Details:
Looking for students who are actively enrolled in an accredited university, pursuing a degree (BS, BA, MBA, Ph.D., etc.)

• Enrolled in a full time matriculated and nationally accredited baccalaureate program
• Working towards a degree majoring in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Engineering, or another related field
• Minimum 3.0 Cumulative GPA (without rounding)

Lean Project Manager Co-Op/Intern

Material presentation, productivity and material flow project execution

EHS Project Manager Co-Op/Intern

Manufacturing Quality Co-Op/Intern

Quality planning for new products & ToW's into the plant; + gage cal mgmt within the plant.

GRV Main Finance Co-Op/Intern

Intern will perform analysis on farmout, scrap losses, unit exchange variance, functional expense analysis and product costing. This position will also be extremely important in helping assist with the coordination/analysis of the annual physical inventory, as well as process improvements. Projects centered around Inventory and Controllership. Developing standard work and reporting out of ARO, Negative Inventory Balances, and Hardinger discrepancies.

Product Cost / Should Cost Engineering Co-Op/Intern

The Candidate would be responsible for the following: 1. Learning all aspects of Should costing (ie. tools, methodology, process, stakeholders, etc.) 2. Creating Should cost models via tear-down methodology a. Deconstructing assigned components b. Cataloging sub components into a theoretical BOM c. Conduct market research and use GET should costing tools to assign costs to sub-components d. Report out findings of costs with the Senior Value Engineering team e. Load should cost results in the should cost factory and track projects to closure 3. Conduct derivative analysis a. Pareto components into like type families b. Populate data for components c. Conduct investigation for cost driving attributes d. Plot regressions and complete a GET derivatives package e. report findings to the Senior Value Engineering team f. Load results in the should cost factory and track projects to closure 4. Make Should Cost projects / observations a. Analyze aPriori make should costs and compare shop planning b. Observe in the shop areas of SC model with gross differences to shop planning c. Provide observations of reasons for delta d. Develop plan with shop leaders to drive gap closer

Final Assembly Materials and Manufacturing Engineer Co-Op/Intern

- Work with line manufacturing engineer to develop Operator Load Charts
- Help to develop Manufacturing Instructions during International unit rabbit builds
- Assist in daily shortage tracking and material availability for final assembly area
- Work to role out new kit cart presentation system across other areas of the facility
- Assist TXD in creating new kit cart labels for part identification
- Develop kit cart picture depository, naming convention
- Work on creation of a Mod re-use replacement material area

Program Manager Co-Op/Intern

The intern will be working on BNSF modernization program and help team execute it. This will involve material, quality, planning and operations. The later part of the internship will involve a lot of documentation that intern has to develop for standardization of process. This is more of leadership role in which business decision making will impact margin.
