Supervisor

JOB RELATIONSHIPS:
Reports to: Shop Manager

PRIMARY PURPOSE
Responsible for managing the pump assembly production, quality control and testing; perform backup duties for the Shop Manager and performs pump assembly and Reman production activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Leads and monitors training of Assembly, Reman and Test employees.
Responsible for technical problem solutions in the Assembly and Reman departments.
Responsible for product documentation: unit identification, disassembly, test, special tools, process sheets, assembly procedures, test procedures.
Responsible for monitoring and approving all hours worked by Assembly and Reman personnel including overtime and Time Off Requests
Acts in capacity of Pump Assembly and Reman activities when not performing supervisor requirements
Assists Shop Manager in areas of discipline and writing performance reviews
Reports on operations activities, accomplishments and requirements.
Responsible for operations management of three production departments: Assembly, Remanufacturing and Order Fulfillment which includes purchasing of cores, disassembly, inventory, remanufacture of hydraulic components, assembly and test
Responsible for training of all Pump Assembly and Reman employees as well as monitoring the effectiveness of such training.
Identifies potential safety hazards, methods to control or eliminate safety hazards, ensures all employees engage in safe and healthful work practices and ensures receive applicable safety training to perform their job duties.
Directs and coordinates activities of all Pump Assembly and Reman personnel
Implements standards of performance, measures progress, sets up and controls work flow.
Determines manpower requirements and distributes work according to operational requirements.
Teams with other Company functions to ensure that customer requirements are met.
Establishes effective business relationships with outside vendors and customers.
Comply with all Fluidyne Fluid Power Employee Conduct and Work Rules; comply with all policies contained in the Employee Handbook.

Participation in preventative actions where appropriate.

This job supervises Pump Assembly and Reman personnel

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High School graduate; Associates degree in business preferred, five to seven years fluid power manufacturing environment: OEM, fluid power distribution, hydraulics remanufacturing; prior manufacturing background, three to five years of supervisor experience in a manufacturing company
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. with Company management, employees and outside groups.
Ability to read and understand documents, to write routine correspondence, ability to communicate with customers/vendors in a pleasing yet firm manner.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Ability to utilize office equipment such as calculator, copier, fax machine, printer. Ability to use computer with knowledge of spreadsheet, data processing and accounting software.


Ability to function in a team based environment.
Strong attention to detail.
Good problem solving skills.
Knowledge of all Microsoft office applications
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.


Self motivated with ability to work under minimal supervision.
