Responsibilities for this Supply Chain Analyst position include, but are not limited to:

This role is responsible for supporting global supplier capability mapping and remediation plans against the World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines on industrially produced trans-fatty acids (iTFAs).

  • Collaboration with global R&D and existing suppliers is fundamental to the success.
  • This COE role will also have responsibility for creating a global engagement strategy with industry associations to ensure critical mass and pre-competitive cooperation across peer companies and suppliers
  • Coordinating with R&D on historical data collection of iTFA capability from existing supplier base
  • Development of supplier capability assessment from historical data that is then translated into a physical sampling Protocol
  • Mapping supplier iTFA capabilities by oil type, by refinery, by supplier, globally
  • As necessary, development of remediation plans with suppliers to be compliant with the WHO guideline on iTFAs
  • Development and alignment of an industry and peer engagement strategy to ensure broad support for delivery of the WHO iTFA guideline by the 2023 deadline
  • This role will require constant cross-functional collaboration with R&D and significant engagement with external suppliers.
  • The role will report directly to the GP Sr. Director, Global Oils COE


Qualifications for this Supply Chain Analyst position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred - Food Science, Agro Finance/Economics, Engineering, or Supply Chain
  • 2+ years of procurement or R&D experience preferred
  • Experience working with supplier relationships
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation building skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate, interact and influence individuals from varying groups and levels including internal and external stakeholders
  • Very strong interpersonal skills e.g. influencing skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and spoken within all levels within the organization, including ability to facilitate cross functional meetings
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to analyze complex business scenarios, develop and evaluate actionable solutions and push through to completion and implementation

Differentiating Competencies:

  • International / multinational experience a plus
  • Lean Six Sigma experience
  • Experience in a regional procurement or R&D function
