Supply Chain Coordinator

Adecco is currently looking to fill a Supply Chain Coordinator in Southwest Austin (near the Y in Oakhill). This position will cover for a maternity leave and start as soon as possible and run through the 2nd week of January. Position will be Monday – Friday and pay between $15.00 -$17.00 per hour.

The Supply Chain Coordinator will be accountable for managing all aspects of shipping routes and delivery, specifically regarding customer satisfaction. Works in the transportation and the warehousing of goods. Processes orders and oversees cycle of order fulfilment. Responsible for making sure supplies, stock, materials, packages, and/or products are processed through the delivery and/or warehouse system efficiently and safely. Managing accounts and coordinating with other departments are essential qualities to possess in this position.

Essential Functions and Basic Duties

  • Manage the maintenance, preparation and routing of PIs, AWB and other required shipping documentation.
  • Assist in the preparation of loads for shipments
  • Communicate with van lines and airlines to ensure prompt pick-up and delivery of shipments
  • Track and analyze mis-shipments
  • Respond to customer inquiries and refer clients to the appropriate channels Keep up to date with technical developments, especially those that can save time and improve reliability.
  • Generation and application of shipping & product labels
  • Manage shipping logs & associated record retention
  • Streamlines shipping and transportation processes
  • Makes sure warehouse capacity is kept at optimal levels

Candidate will work collaboratively with the sales team and should expect regular supervision. Ability to interact with a diverse group of individuals including sales, engineers, and technicians. Capable of working independently or in a team environment.

Position Requirements:

Knowledge and Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in customer service or logistics management
  • Understanding of quality management principles
  • Experience in customer service will be appreciated
  • Proven capabilities with logistical planning, limited resources allocation
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications expected
