To ensure efficient execution of supply chain objectives including production planning, order scheduling, purchasing, warehouse management and inventory control (raw material/spare parts/finishing goods).

Job Accountabilities / Content:
ã To effectively manage and direct daily activities of logistics, purchasing and warehouse staff.
ã To effectively work with Project team on new customer development of raw materials, production planning and warehouse delivery.
ã To effectively manage production reporting process to ensure that data is compiled and communicated according to set deadlines.
ã To ensure implementation of production planning, scheduling, and order dispatch activities.
ã To ensure system compliance and communication within the logistics, purchasing and warehouse department.
ã To ensure that orders are taken and scheduled in production in a timely manner.
ã To ensure adequate resources such as manpower, raw material and other related inputs are available.
ã To ensure that inventory stock is tracked and managed according to projected forecast numbers.
ã Manage inventory levels:

Raw Material
Spare Parts
Finished Goods
WIP
To effectively forecast:

Sales
Raw Materials: laminate, resin, IBL, top seal, caps



To ensure systems and measures are available to schedule production in a manner that will bring out higher machine efficiencies and reduction in wastage on a continuous basis.
To ensure cost reduction measures are identified and implemented in the supply chain to bring out savings by way of achieving maximum optimisation of assets.
To implement planning system to enhance quality improvements to meet customer expectations.
To undertake regular control activities to guarantee the perfect state of plant assets through inventory management and line balancing.
To implement scheduling improvement activities to reduce machine downtime and ensure the optimum utilization of manpower using feasibility studies.
To investigate options for implementation of MRP system within the facility.
To ensure compliance with customer requirements.
To coordinate documentation of planning, purchasing and inventory procedures.
To plan and initiate management / system improvements tools (GMP, TPM, ISO, Bench marking, Best Practice and Knowledge management) to meet customer expectations

Problem Solving:
To initiate team approach to involve necessary individuals in establishing improvement systems and sustaining it for longer period.

Decision Making:
All decisions pertaining to logistical activities can be made by the jobholder with reference of Operations Management & senior management


Job Knowledge:

¨ Minimum Qualification: Bachelor Degree in engineering discipline or years experience

¨ Field of specialisation: Adequate exposure in Industrial Production & Engineering / Knowledge of Industrial Supply Chain Processes / Quality concepts / Quality standards / Preventive & corrective action / Art of Man management / Multiskilled person

¨ Specialised Training : Training in ISO – 9000 : 2000 / Computer literate / Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) preferred

General Skills required: Quality conscious /Analytical / Focused / Self starter / Communication / Co-ordination / Planning / Organising / Team Player / Coaching / Leadership

Experience: Minimum of 10 year experience in industrial setting.
