Description

 

The “World’s Largest Search Engine” is looking for an individual to own the execution of the weekly demand/supply planning process, along with implementation (and oversight) of the inventory management process. They will work closely with internal partners to ensure proper alignment to merchandise forecasts and sustained inventory supply to the 3PL warehouses. They will also be responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy at the 3PL and working directly to resolve any inventory discrepancies.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years of work experience in Planning, Supply Chain, Logistics or similar.
  • Clear understanding of forecasting and demand/supply planning principles and processes.
  • Clear understanding of inventory management/tracking principles.
  • Ability to track basic metrics and create/publish associated reports.
  • Ability to manage escalations with partner vendors and drive to resolution.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in demand/supply planning role.
  • Direct experience in designing and publishing forecast models.
  • Direct experience in developing and/or implementing inventory management systems.
  • Detail oriented, strong communicator, organized, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Vendor management experience, including performance management.
  • Direct program management experience, leading cross-functional project teams.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with internal partners to develop and execute short and long-term demand and supply models.
  • Work directly with team members to ensure weekly alignment on short and long-term forecasts.
  • Inventory and revenue reconciliation with accounting team
  • Ensure continuity of supply between logistics and 3PL fulfillment teams.
  • Manage and drive resolution to inventory tracking and fulfillment related escalations with 3PL partner.
  • Create and publish weekly reports around inventory consumption/sales, performance against forecast, and 3PL escalations.
